October 31 is a traditional festival in the west, Halloween. Halloween is also known as the ghost festival. It is one of the oldest festivals in the west.
It is said that as early as BC, the Celtic peoples who lived in the British Isles, Ireland and France celebrated the deformity and the god of darkness on every October 31.
On that night they prepared many delicacies for the good spirits to eat, and made fires on the hills in the wilderness, so that the bright flames would attract good spirits and drive away evil spirits.
This may be the earliest form of ghost festival.Later, the festival of the ghost was combined with Christianity and became a traditional festival for saints. It was renamed "Halloween" and was scheduled for 1 November each year.
Later, the festival gradually spread from Europe to North America and some other parts of the world. Halloween is a day for adults and children to do all they can without attracting the wrong eye.
When night falls, children can't wait to put on colorful clothes and strange masks. Some of them were dressed in dark gowns, riding devil's broom, and dressed as witches; Some wore white sheets and had ghosts; Some wore hats painted with a skull and crossbones flag as pirates; Many children also carry a jack-o '-lantern made from pumpkins.
